The chart given illustrates how many tourists utilizing three leading airports in New York City over the course of 6 years starting in 1995.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that there was an upward trend for the number of people traveling with these airports, with the exception of travelers from John F.Kennedy airport. It is also noted that the number of travelers using LaGuardia airport registered the highest figure.
In 1995, the number of tourists using LaGuardia stood at approximately 35 million passengers. This figure then went up progressively to 50 million passengers in 1999, before increasing sharply to the highest number of travellers (nearly 70 million passengers in 2000). A similar trend was witnessed in Newark, which increased marginally from 15 million passengers in 1995 to 43 million passengers in 1998. However, this figure then remained stable at 43 million passengers over the next three years.
There was also a similar trend of travellers using John F.Kennedy to the others, which rose progressively from 27 million of passengers in 1995 to the highest number of travellers in 1997 (47 million of passengers). Nevertheless, this figure declined slightly over the next two years to 32 million of travellers in 1999, before witnessing a significant recovery period to 43 million of travellers in 2000.
