The picture below shows how a hot balloon works. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features.

You should write at least 150 words.

The given diagram illustrates the working mechanism of a hot balloon.

Overall, it is clearly seen that a hot-air balloon includes four key parts, which are the envelope, the skirt, the burner, and the basket. In addition, it is the thermal regulation of air that makes the balloon fly.

In detail, there are various components of a balloon, with a parachute valve being attached to the top of the envelope and at the lowest part situates a big basket. The valve functions as a self-sealing flap to control the rate of escaping hot air. The biggest part of a hot balloon is the envelope, which has an inverted teardrop shape, being made up of a combination of multiple strips of fabric called gores, which are created by a variety of small panels sewed together. The skirt is stitched on the base of the envelope and attached to the basket by ropes. On the metal flame of the basket fixes the burner, while the basket contains the propane cylinder inside.

With regard to the working process of the hot-air balloon, it involves the circulation of air to keep it buoyant. To make it fly, a huge amount of hot air is produced from the flame formed by the mixture of propane and air to reduce the weight of the air inside the balloon compared to the heavy air outside. By contrast, to begin a descent, the hot air is gradually decreased to make way for the cool one, the heavier air, pulling the balloon downward.
