You recently attended a meeting at a hotel. When you returned home, you found you had left some important papers at the hotel.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel.
Say where you think you left the papers.
Explain why they are so important
Tell the manager what you want him/her to do.
Dear Sir or Madame,
I am writing to ask you about a favour. On 29th October 2017, my company held a conference with our investors in your hotel. At the end of this important meeting, an agreement was signed with our Japanese partners. This contract was handed to me but it appears I left it in the hotel. There are two possible locations where the document might have been left. Firstly, I would like you looked at a receptionist desk because my colleagues and I were in a hurry when we checked out and the papers could be forgotten there. Another possible place is my room. Perhaps, the document is safely preserved on a coffee table.
Those papers are so important because this is a pivotal contract for our company that could pave a way to bigger contracts. Asking the partners to sign the document again will be seen as a demonstration of disrespect and poor discipline in our firm. In addition, the Japanese group flew to Japan, and it will cost a small fortune to meet them in person because airplane tickets cost about four thousand and five hundred dollars per person in each direction.
I would like that you contacted me as soon as you find the lost agreement. Then it can be sent to my office via DHL express or one of my co-workers who lives in your area can deliver the contract to me personally. Please inform me what you prefer.
I am waiting for your prompt response.
Sincerely yours,
Eugene Dubinchuk.
