Although you have never formally studied computing, you have always been interested in computers. You have just read about a computer course that really interests you, but it is only for people who have completed an elementary course.
Write a letter to the college enrolment officer. In your letter
explain why you are writing
describe your circumstances
ask if a special exception can be made for you so you can enrol in the course
Dear Sir,
I intend to write this course to show my interest in enrollment in the computer course that your organization have listed in the newspaper today. I have studied commerce throughout my academic span but i always had a keen interest in exploring the computer world and sharpen my skill in this domain as well. I am a full-time working professional where i have to perform different tasks on the computer day in day out. Owing to lack of my knowledge i cannot pace up my work on the computer and lack behind in efficiency.
Unfortunately, despite being an eager computer learner i could not attend any educational course related to computer studies. I know the for the admission in your advertised course it is mandatory to have an elementary course but as i stated my circumstances earlier i do not hold such certification. Therefore, i request you to please exempt this pre-requisite and grant me admission so i can bring efficiency in my work and progress in my career.
I look forward to your support in this regard.
Yours sincerely,
Sam
