City council is planning to pull down one of the historic buildings in your town because they do not have funds to renovate it. As a citizen, you don’t want it to happen. Write a letter to the city council and say
What is the importance of the building?
Why should it be renovated?
Suggest a plan to raise funds and maintain the building in the future.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I’m writing this letter on behalf of RWA (Resident Welfare Society) to let you know that the Council’s proposal to diminish the famous monument, Rajput Palace, has hurt sentiments of masses.
The Palace plays an important role in everyone’s life as all of us has, in some point in time, spent winters in its garden. The structure is over 150 years old and it is famous for its interior, which is hand carved. The building houses many artefacts which were technological marvel of that era.
All of us are disturbed with the council’s decision of bringing it down rather than bringing it back to its glory. The place is a famous tourist spot in the neighborhood and showcase our rich culture.
RWA (Resident Welfare Association) will provide some financial aid to refurbish its interior and we have, also, talked with local businessmen, who are ready to invest. Additionally, we can charge nominal fee from visitors for its daily maintenance.
I hope we were able to convince the council to change its mind.
Your faithfully,
Ajay
