During recent plane journey, you sat next to the businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants.
Write a letter to that person.
Remind him when and where you met
Tell him what kind of a job you are interested in
Say why you think you would be suitable for the job.
Dear Sir,
I hope you are doing great! I am unsure about your remembrance, However, I would like to remind you that we met last week on Friday evening during the flight journey from France to London. We had a very fruitful conversation about the hotel business. As per our communication, I am writing this letter to you to ask about the possible job you were discussing with me.
I have completed a ‘Hotel Management’ degree from London and working as a waiter in one of the reputed restaurants at Queens Square, London. Recently, due to some financial reasons, I am bound to search for a new job opportunity. Confident communication with guests and fluency in several languages are my strong points, which would be an added advantage for the hotel. Additionally, a variety of shifts would not be a constraint for me and extension to the working hours is also acceptable.
I believe, the mentioned qualities definitely would be beneficial for your restaurant, rather I would try to give my best and the experiences received at the hotel would be appreciable. I have already collected the plethora of information about the outlets of your restaurants and as mentioned in the rules of the hotel, I totally agree with the fact that punctuality and discipline is the most crucial factor one should have.
I am looking forward to hearing from you at the earliest.
Yours Faithfully,
Alen Potter.
