During a recent plane journey, you sat next to a businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants.
Write a letter to this businessman. In your letter:
- remind him when and where you met
- tell him what kind of job you are interested in
- say why you think you would be suitable for the job
Dear Mr. Stark,
I am writing in respect to the conservation dated on 1st November 2019 in a plane from Shanghai to Hong Kong. We had a discussion on the journey, and I learned that you are the owner of a chain of restaurants. I am delighted that you offered me an opportunity to join your company.
I am currently working as a manager in a local restaurant with multiple locations all around Hong Kong. My duty is to supervise all the restaurants in Hong Kong Island. Since I have heard that your restaurant is pioneering in Hong Kong, I am interested in applying for the position of regional manager at this district.
Based on my past working experience, I think I will be capable of the job. I have been working in the catering industry for more than ten years, and working in a managerial role for five years. I have confidence in rooting a brandy restaurant of Shanghai into Hong Kong market.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing your reply.
Yours sincerely,
Harry Potter
