The table chart gives data about the purpose of UK residents on for which they traveled abroad from 1994 to 1998 while the bar chart demonstrates different destinations they chose to travel throughout the same four years.

Overall, as can be seen from the former chart, most of the figures experienced an upward trend, though some fluctuations interfered with some sectors in 1995. Meanwhile, in the latter one, Western Europe was conspicuously the most visited destination of UK citizens.

In the table chart, holidays contributed the most significantly in the chart, while other reasons played a less notable role. Traveling for holiday, visits to friends and relatives, other reasons, and the total underwent slight negative growth in 1995, while they increased steadily over the other years. An exception was going abroad for business, which rose rapidly without any disruption in the period of four years.

In the bar chart, traveling to Western Europe was the main trend: there were ups and downs in the process; however, this part was always the most popular place UK people aimed for. North America was less favored; yet, the number of travelers going there never decreased. Other areas were also people’s choice, their ratios were always higher than the former’s, and though there were some downticks, these remained negligible.
