1)Give information about flat
2) Provide any important instructions
3)what he should do if there is any problems
Dear Smriti,
Thank you for agreeing to stay in my apartment in the coming week. I am writing this letter to share some information about the flat so that you have a comfortable stay.
Firstly, let me provide you with information about the flat. If i recollect correctly, you have visited me in my previous flat and had examinations coinciding with the house warming party. The house is within five minute walk from the railway station and the bus depot. There are two super markets on the main road which has almost everything. Also, there is a pharmacy store in the building compound. There is a swimming pool and badminton court in the building. I will inform the caretaker about you so that you do not face any issue and can use my pass. Before I forget, one of the best part about the apartment, is the balcony. Every day in the evening, I sit there and enjoy the view outside. It is really amazing. I would highly recommend you to spend your evening in the balcony with coffee and book. Trust me, it feels heaven.
Coming to some important instructions that you would need to take care are the timings of the garbage collector and water timings. There is a person who daily collects the garbage from every apartment in the building. He comes at around 10 am to the building. You can just keep the garbage in tied bag outside the gate and he will collect it. The water timings are bit tricky though. Every day water is given to each flat for one hour for our whole day usage. It automatically is stored in all the overhead tanks of the rooms. You, however, would need to switch on and off the tank button. The security guard will inform you once he switches on the main valve for you to switch on the tank buttons. Also, remember that drinking water is provided alternate days. Again, no need to worry about anything. Everything is set. You only would have to switch on and off the buttons as notified. I have labelled all the switches.
Lastly, should there be any problem in the flat, you can call the caretaker from the landline. He usually has solution to everything. I have kept his number next to the landline for your reference. Also, I will be available in my mobile phone anytime. You can always text me or call me. Once again thank you so much for agreeing to stay in the flat. I could have left it locked but maybe an important parcel will be delivered coming week and someone has to be there to collect it on my behalf.
Yours faithfully,
Madhulika
