Essay topics:

last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends. They have just sent you some photos of your holiday. Write a letter to your friends. In your letter
1) thank them for the photos and for the holiday.
2) explain why you didn't write earlier.
3) invite them to come and stay with you.

Dear Sarah and John,

I hope you both are doing very well. First of all, I’d like to thank you for such a memorable trip; it was one of my best vacations in Singapore. I can’t thank you enough for your hospitality and your time to stay with me. I’ve just received your email with all photos and believe me such an amazing photographer john is, I mean all photos are stunning.

Furthermore, sorry I was unable to write you back earlier as something worse happened when I left to my home. My luggage was mistakenly sent to somewhere else instead of Sydney and I had waited 24 hours for it to get it back. The ordeal does finished yet; when I reached home, I was told that my landlord forgot to pay electricity bills and I had to live there without basic need for one day.

Anyway, why don’t you come and visit Australia? I’ll be free next month and I can plan your itinerary as well. Do let me know if you want to come.

Hope to see you soon.

Lots of love,
