The line graph illustrates the regional household recycling rates in the UK, Germany and France from 2005 to 2015.
Overall, it is noticeable that the recycling rates of the UK and Germany had an upward trend. However the rate of France showed a downward trend over the given period.
While, the rates of the UK and Germany were at about 35% and 20% respectively, the recycling rate of France was at 50% in the beginning of the given period. The recycling rate of Germany increased significantly to approximately 35% in 2009. By contrast, the rate of the UK remained stable at 40% in this year, after a slight increase by 5% in 2007. While the recycling rate of the UK had a significant growth to nearly 60%, the rate of Germany grew up rapidly to about 57% by 2015.
When it comes to the recycling rate of France, although, it was at the highest point in 2005, it increased modestly to 70%, after it had declined dramatically by 20% in 2013, being the lowest among the three rates in the end of the period.
