Dear Sir,
I have been informed by my colleague that your school is organising an event to familiarise the students with diverse culture and countries. I am writing this letter to seek your kind permission to present my country Pakistan and its rich culture in the aforementioned event.
I would be particularly interested in presenting history of the folk music and traditional dance of northern part of our country. Despite these being well known in Asia, these are little known in the Western world. Introducing these to college students on an international day would benefit the participants and presenter alike. This way youngsters would be able to know the existence of variety of cultures and admire the diversity of traditions. Further, getting to know the different culture promote tolerance and result in creating a vibrant, harmonious society.
In order to exhibit the true sense of this century old culture, could you please make the arrangement to provide the display stand where we can display the traditional music equipment such as flute, guitar, piano and costumes of dancers.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Yours faithfully,
Ammar
