The maps illustrate the layout of Colwich Arts Centre between 2005 and at present.
Overall, Colwich Arts Centre has undergone several alterations including the merger between two gallery rooms, the division of the meeting room, the renovation of wasteland and the establishment of new function areas. These developments have transformed the art centre into a more space-effective to serve more visitors.
On the left-hand side of the centre, the meeting room has been divided into two rooms that now are found at the former site of the snack bar. In 2005 the cinema and concert hall were conducted in the same room, there are now two separate areas. Furthermore, the cinema has been narrowed leaving more space for a new central exhibition area in the middle. Whereas the toilet has been relocated to the right-hand side, the new drama studio has been introduced at the back of the centre which adjoining new meeting room 1.
It can be seen from the maps that two gallery rooms on the right-hand side have been merged into one big room and moved to the opposite side, while the café shop has been added next to the new gallery room. The wasteland, which dominated outside the art centre in 2005, has been renovated with a new stage and area for outdoor exhibition and performance.
