On a recent holiday, you lost a valuable item. Fortunately, you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost.
Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company. In your letter :
describe the item you lost
explain how you lost item
tell the insurance company what you would like them to do
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to inform you that I have lost my gold chain during my travel to Singapore last week. It is a 24-carat gold chain, which costs around 75000 rupees. It was brand new and was given to me by my mother-in-law. I hope you will give me the insured sum for this chain. In advance, I had bought travel insurance from your company.
Let me explain more about the incident where I lost the chain. Throughout the trip, between 10th August to 16th August, I was wearing this chain. It was the last day of the holiday when we had to check out from the hotel room and I was packing my stuff, I would have accidentally left the chain in the bathroom. Moreover, I even tried contacting the hotel staff, however, sadly, they cannot find it.
Fortunately, prior to the trip, I had paid for the travel insurance for any of such unforeseen incidents. As per the policies of your company, I am liable to get at least 75% of the cost of the lost item if I have the bill invoice. Therefore, I would request you to kindly return me the amount for my lost item. Attached is a copy of the invoice of the chain along with the details of the insurance number for my policy.
Let me know if any more information is required from my end. Looking forward to your positive reply.
Yours faithfully,
Dimple Patel
