Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you to inform that I have lost my laptop during my vacation to Venice last week. I had went for a week’s vacation with my family during the 4th week of May. Please find my insurance policy number – ALL0102. Since I have travel insurance from Allstate Insurance Corp, I would like to claim the loss of my laptop.

First of all, let me give the detailed appearance of the laptop. The laptop’s make and model is Dell Pavillion – EM564. It is sleek in shape, apparently it weighs less than 2 kilograms. Color is Black and it has got the DELL logo in the centre of the laptop cover. Hope this describes the laptop’s look.

I kept the laptop safely in my room which was locked and went to recreation room to play games with my family. When I returned to our room no. 502, I found my laptop missing whereas I found the other items to be safe. Recreation centre was located nearby the room. I raised a complaint to the hotel management, but they could not find it. They searched in few key places such as room, Recreation centre and Café.

I would appreciate if you could arrange for the claim at the earliest. Please raise the claim request for Travel Insurance and let me know the procedure to follow. The Date of expiry of my travel policy is 20th of August.

Yours’ sincerely,
Chitra Gomathy.
