The table and the chart below compare the average amounts of money spent by students while studying in four different countries in 2005. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant
The charts illustrate the typical amount of money expended by pupils as well as their allocation in particular categories per week during their learning in four countries including A, B, C and D in 2005.
Overall, students in country A spent the highest amount of money on average in units of US dollar, as opposed to D whose expenditure was the smallest. It is apparent that pupils allocated most of their money on living costs in all four countries.
In terms of total money spent weekly, the expenditure of 845 dollars spent by pupils in country A on a weekly basis is higher than any other counterpart surveyed, while the figure for country B was slightly lower. Nation C came in third with 525 dollars compared to 429 dollars by pupils in country D, which was recorded as the smallest value in the table.
As can be seen from the bar chart, living costs expended by pupils in countries A and B were quite similar to each other, hovering from about 340 to 360 dollars. While A's tuition fees were approximate twice accommodation fees (310 and 170 dollars), this gap in country B was not noticeable, at more than 20 dollars. The amounts of money spent on all three categories in C and D were much lower than those in A and B, ranging from 110 to 220 dollars. It is an interesting point that of this chart is that D was the only country whose amount of money spent on tuition was lower than that on accommodations.
