Task 2: You are being sent on a one month work assignment in San Francisco, California.
You need a place to stay while you are there. Write a letter to the Maury Samson Real
Estate Agency. In your letter:
explain the situation verticles
describe the kind of accommodation you would like
provide the dates you will need it.
Dear Sir,
I am from India and work for a multinational corporation, with its Head Office at Mumbai
(Maharashtra). I shall be travelling to San Francisco in the first week of August 2020 as I
have been assigned with a month-long project from my employer which will be executed
from San Francisco. Hence, the purpose of writing this letter to you is that I am looking for
an accommodation in your town.
I prefer to stay in a working-women hostel near City Centre. I would appreciate an
independent accommodation as to me privacy is of utmost importance and my job demands
long hours of investment in terms of time. Also, please ensure that hostel room is on the
ground floor or maximum up to 4 th floor. I would request you to share the quotation of the
same at the earliest so that a timely decision can be taken.
To be precise, I shall be arriving at San Francisco on August 3 rd , 2020 and would be staying
there till September 5 th , 2020. So, I’ll be needing the stay for these dates. My return flight is
on 6 th September. Also, please see if food arrangements can also be made a part of the
commercial as I will be new to your place and may find it difficult to arrange for it. Besides,
time will also be a constraint because of my busy schedule.
I look forward for a prompt reply from your side.
Yours Sincerely,
Navpreet Kaur
