There's a famous saying "There's no place like home". Its a genuine feeling and cannot be replaced at all. Some people claim that they migrate to other countries searching for greener pastures. This change can bring about various benefits well as drawbacks for an individual
To begin with, a recent study conducted suggests that the proportion of people migrating from developing countries to developed or industrialized countries have significantly increased, approximately three fold. This phenomenon mainly occurs in search of better employment opportunities and improved lifestyle factors. Apparently burgeoning of industries provide better job opportunities in developed nations. Now a days a lot of people are seen crossing borders to continue their education Where they meet individuals from various culture and backgrounds. This atmosphere help them develop their social skills which later mould them in to a better human being responsible and independent, capable of making better decisions, and, thus lead a drool worthy life.
Furthermore, people when move from one country to another get to meet new people and learn new cultures and values. They get to learn new language which in turn aids in building great interpersonal relationships. Recent decades have also shown a great percentage of people migrating from war torn countries; which is mainly to escape the chaotic environment. This group of people travel in order to live a peaceful and better life.
In addition to the various benefits, this process can also bring about huge changes in an individuals life. Families migrating can face wide range of difficulties in the new country. For instance each member of the family will have have to work really hard in order to set up a home and, this can get harder for older adults. due to the heavy work and differences in the physical environment older people may end up getting sick and ill. To add on, learning a new language can become difficult for adults which later on turn out to be a great factor affecting the psychological state of an individual. The family will have to leave behind their culture and tradition and imbibe a novel one in order to be accepted by the people thereby affecting their mental and emotional health. The country itself gets affected when all the efficient and capable people leave for betterment of their lives, thus stagnating its economic growth.
In summary, migration has turned out to be a phenomenon which cannot be stopped but can be controlled if the governments of the developing countries provide better options and facilities for its people. But, since the governments fail to improvise the facilities , and, benefits of migration outweigh its hazards, people would continue leaving a country searching for better opportunities.
