Write a letter to the college head. In your letter:
Tell him/her about the topics that you are going to talk about
Explain why would they be of interest to the students
Ask about any arrangements that you need to make to give the talk
This is Sarika Kumari, I am a student of St.Marie college. I recently saw an advertisement for your upcoming event about the international day. An international day is celebrated and recognised for different countries and their cultures. I am from India and as India is a very big country with diverse multicultural values. I would like to talk about Indian multicultural diversity.
India is very well-known for its diverse culture and history. It is always in news and explained in many books about its culture. Many people from different countries like to learn more about Indian culture. So, I think it could be one of the attractive talks in your event.
I would also like to ask you about the stage arrangement. I would require a mike and projector for a small presentation. Please let me know if you could add me in your plan.
Waiting to for your reply,
Yours faithfully
Sarika Kumari
