Write a letter to the local council about the closure of a playground in your area because children don’t use it much. In your letter say
– Why don’t many children use it?
– How is the playground important for children?
– Give some suggestions how to increase the playground’s usage.
Dear Sir,
My name is James, a resident of South Avenue Brampton. Recently, I came to know from a local newspaper that local council had decided to close down the 15 years old playground of our area. However, I think council should deep dive to find actual reasons why this drop is happening.
Let me explain you the key reasons, Firstly, this playground is not maintained properly. The swings are broken and no arrangements for drinking water for children. Secondly, grass and flowers are not watered or cut on regular intervals so it gives a bad look to the playground. Last but not the least, the fencing of the playground is also broken at few points which allow the animals like dogs, cows to enter playground. Due to these animals children do not feel safe playing there.
As this is the oldest playground, so it is very important to preserve it as an identity to our area.I think playground plays a vital role to promote outdoor activities among young children. As a matter of fact, playing outdoor games not only improve the health of children but also help to promote social harmony among children, which is very important.
The corrective actions should be taken on war footing level to regain the glory of this playground. I would like to suggest that council should allocate a special budget for this playground. New swings should be installed, fencing should be repaired and new flowers should be planted. Local residents are always ready to support you with time and money, because by investing in this playground we are investing in healthy future of our children.
Hope you will take the suggestions in your immediate consideration.
Thanks
Yours Sincerely,
James
