I am writing this letter regarding my hotel booking which was made on 10th December by your agency at Hotel Andrew on lake success street, New Hyde park. As it was a business trip, the booking was completed by our company representative for a week starting from 14th December to 18th December 2020.
At the onset, let me provide you the details about my reservation. Although the booking was made for a business trip, room was booked for my name under corporate account. According to the company policy the reservation was made through your travel agency’s website that is www.icims.travel.co.in. Once the booking was confirmed, I was provided with a booking reference number AZTNYH325 for my reservation at hotel Andrew New Hyde park, New York. As it was a corporate trip, we booked a room with easy access to all professional business segment amenities. My Room number was 152 and booking included accessibility to meeting rooms, conference hall and printer rooms. A single occupancy room was booked which costed 157$ a day.
Further, I would like to complaint about certain situations that I faced during my stay. Although my check-in time was 9:00am in the morning, I had to wait for 2 hours at reception due to unavailability of the internet connection on their end. Once I checked-in to the hotel, I noticed that hygiene standards were extremely poor and not even close what we have been presented at the time of the booking. Next, the staff was not very co-operative in assisting the guests for their requirements. Besides that, their printer was very old and they applied additional charges for using copier machine even though we booked the package including free access.
Lastly, I would like to provide some suggestions regarding my experience for the hotel management. The hotel management needs to recruit staff with more experience in hospitality industry so that they can cater their guests efficiently and understand their requirements. Also, there is large scope of improvement for the cleanliness and quality standards for the essentials provided within the rooms. In fact, room costs were not even justifiable to the quality of services offered to their guests.
