Dear Anne,
I am writing this letter to invite you to celebrate National Day with us in Singapore. Since, it is a public holiday I will be on leave and we can celebrate together.
Let me explain in detail. Celebrations begin in the evening with a show put up by the army followed by a cultural dance. Then a speech is given by the President and the National Anthem is played. As we are celebrating 50 years of Independence there is going to be a grand celebration and the whole place is decorated with flags. Certain ares will be closed to the public during the event. Also, dance and singing performances will be put up.
Additionally, I would like to inform you that I have booked our tickets for the celebration since, this will be your first time. We will begin the day by taking a tour of the city, where you will witness the beautiful landscape and breathtaking view of the city. Post the tour we will partake in the celebrations held at the stadium. Finally, the day ends with fireworks and we pray and hope for a fruitful and bright future of the country and our countrymen.
I look forward to receiving your response.
