Dear Mr Ryan Lee,
I am writing this letter to express my sincere apologies for missing the the meeting yesterday. Even though the material was prepared well before the deadline and also I left the house on time, I got delayed due to some unforeseen circumstance.
Let me explain in detail. Firstly, the recent construction of a new bridge has resulted in terrible traffic congestion during peak hours. Keeping that in mind I decided to leave early. However, unfortunately yesterday one of the construction columns collapsed consequently putting the traffic to a standstill in which i was stuck for almost 2 hours. Secondly, the heavy downpour made it difficult for me to use another mode of transport nor was the mobile network available to inform you about my situation.
Lastly, I would like to request you to allow me 30 minutes of your time today to present my views and ideas of the new product? Additionally, I have done some extensive research and would really appreciate if you could validate them.
Sorry once again and hope you consider my situation favorably.
