Dear Sir,
I would like to begin by stating that I am a regular member of your Uttara Sports Club which is managed by the local council. I have been a member for the last 5 years and now as I am beginning to become a fitness trainer, I have realized that there are many facilities lacking which are necessary for providing the best services for people of my age group between 25-29 years.
The current sports club is in a dire condition and seriously needs to upgrade many of the equipment. There are two gyms, one swimming pool, one squash court, one tennis court, two football fields and a hockey field. However, since there are more than 5,000 members of the club, at times, it is difficult to book the facilities even on weekends. Furthermore, the swimming pool and grounds are not well maintained and as a result, a lot of the members are opting to cancel their membership.
In order to retain the current members and attract new ones, I propose that a cricket pitch along with a new gymnasium is built. In addition to this, basketball courts and extra equipment in the gym is necessary. If there was a physiotherapy center, then more people can look after their health and train according to their goals.
The people in my age group are mostly young adults who have recently entered the job market. As they are at the beginning of their careers, they often work long hours and hence if the sports center is open until quite late at night, maybe until 11 pm, then the employed people will be able to enjoy these facilities. I hope you take my request into consideration as healthy citizens are likely to contribute more to the society.
