Writing task 1 (a letter)
Write a letter to your manager to tell him/her about some company documents that you lost while traveling with them. Please say
– What were the documents?
– Where and when did you travel with them?
– Suggest a solution for this situation.
Dear Sir,
I regret to inform you that I missed the access review document and audit checklist document yesterday accidently. As soon as I realized, I checked key places such as office desk, library and my bag but it was in vain. I presume it must have been lost when we were returning from our visit to client location. The documents were well placed in the file which we carried to give a presentation at client location. My apologies for losing the important documents carelessly.
I am aware that it contains crucial data, subsequently I had requested the Admin to arrange for the scanned copy of the Audit checklist since we have shared with them for Audit purposes. And for the Access Review document, it’s challenging to collect data from all the employees in the team, but we can try getting it from the system for which the soft copies are stored in server. Arrangements can be made so that it will not hinder on-going Audit process. Please advise if I have to organize for something else to make it sooner. Kindly revert if you need any other information. Anticipating a positive response from you.
Yours’ sincerely,
Divya
