Dear Ms Sheela
I hope that you are doing well. It has been a long time since we met. I remember it was at your daughter Ms. Rose's wedding we last met. I was wondering if you could write me a reference letter.
As you know, I took up Economic in Kings College post completing high school. I am glad to inform you that I have graduated with distinction in the subject. Now, I am planning to pursue an academic career in university teaching students and doing research. I never expected that I will be given such an opportunity at the very beginning of my career. Moreover, the fact is this job is more crucial to me, as I really find myself unfit for taking up other occupations.
As part of enrollment as a professor, I am also supposed to submit a letter of reference from one of my tutor. I would be grateful if you could give me a reference letter stating my academic achievements at school. Perhaps, you could also mention about my teaching skills, such as the way I helped other pupils in understanding some concepts during my school days if teachers are not present.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Yours Sincerely,
Akilan
