Dear sir, I am writing this letter to express my inability to start my job in your organization. I applied for this job and got selected. I received my joining letter three days ago and it is mentioned there I should join the organization within 15 days after receiving the joining letter. Unfortunately, due to unavoidable circumstances, I am unable to do so.
My grandfather suffered a cardiac arrest. He has been hospitalized, and I am going to take care of him. As I am the only grandson, it is my responsibility to assist him in this difficult time. I will be back only after he recovered properly from this illness.
I am expecting to join the organization by the end of next month as the doctor told me that it will take 14 days to get fully recovered. I would be grateful to you if you allow me to join after the due date considering my situation.
