You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter
give details of your study plans
explain why you want to get a part-time job
suggest how your friend could help you find a job
Hi John,
I am planning to study Computer Science in German, but I don't have enough money to support my living there. So I want you to help me with employment in your city.
As the cost of living in Berlin is higher than in Karaganda, I feel uncertain that I will be able to make ends meet, while studying in your hometown. Despite this financial problem, I am eager to study in Europe at any cost. As a solution, I've decided to find a part-time job, so that I can afford to live without burdening my parents. However, I need some assistance with occupation, because I don't know the city very well. I can do a great variety of jobs, such as washing the dishes, cleaning houses and looking after children. As you can see, I am not afraid of work. Please, find out much information about available vacancies for students and send it to my email address “tolikxxx@rambler.ru” before my arrival in Berlin. It would help me to see what kind of job I can expect and prepare my resume in advance.
I would also be grateful to you, if you do it asap, since my parents are worried about my departure to another country. They want to know that I would lead a normal lifestyle in German.
Best wishes,
Tolegen
