You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help.

Write a letter to this friend. In your letter

• Give details of your study plan
• Explain why you want to get a part-time job
• Suggest how your friend could help you find a job

Dear David,

It has been so long since we last were in touch but I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to ask you for a favour which is assisting me to get a part-time job during my staying in your country. Actually, I have enrolled at an institution called Elite in order to study Finance as post-graduate studies. The course will be for 6 months and it has 2 semesters. Moreover, the course not only enhances my professional career but also promote my job level.

Basically, the reason for asking you to have a part-time job is to cover my daily expenses such as rental accommodation, foods, drinks and transportation fees. You know that the life in the capital city is a very expensive.

I would, therefore, appreciate using your connections among your friends and colleagues in order to help me to have a part-time job. I will not mind at all either if I have a casual work or temporary employment. I would be so grateful.

I look forward to seeing you soon.
Best wishes,
Paula
