You are studying for a qualification, and you would like some time off work to complete it.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter
Ask for some time off to complete a qualification
Suggest what you will do later if you have time off
Say how the qualification helps your job or company.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I request you to grant me one month time off to complete my qualification course on Machine Learning. This course not only adds value to my qualification but also helps in the development of our project. I also assure you that I will compensate this one month’s time by working on weekends and holidays. Since the project requirements need to be met, I will make sure that there is no backlog from my end.
The course covers important aspects of Machine Learning that can be implemented in our project as well. The course begins on July 1 and lasts until July 28. Furthermore, utilising this concept of Machine Learning in our project ensures our team to achieve recognition and appreciation from our client. I request you to kindly look into this and approve my leave. Also, please note that I have completed the next three week’s tasks beforehand to ensure that there is no hold from my end. I have asked Ram to take care of any further tasks that arise apart from these.
Yours faithfully,
Krithika Meiyappan.
