Dear Mr. Lee,
I hope all is good with you. I’m writing this letter to seek your permission to get some time off from work in order to complete my master degree in Data Science technology. I would like to take time off for about 3 months to complete my examinations and thesis. I have to submit my thesis to university by end of July30. Unfortunately, I have already utilized my annual leaves and sick leaves. My current leave balance will not help me to finish my thesis. So, I need few days off from my work.
In return, I would endeavor to come into office as early as possible and I will try to complete all my project or pending work. If needed I’m willing to stretch my hours and I will also work on Saturday’s. I have already spoken with my collogues Mr. Nanda & Mr. Sahu and they are willing to support the project in my absence.
My absence can affect in project deliverables, but in long run my thesis will help the organization. My thesis is mostly pointed on new technologies and upcoming trends in Data Science technology. It will also point on how can we archive old techniques and leverage more on new technologies. This will give us a competitive edge.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.
Yours Sincerely,
Sudheerkumar Reddy Motakatla
