Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with regard to a plan that extended local airport and increases the number of flights. My house is situated within 20 minutes walk of the airport. I am hoping that you would publish an editorial to protest the development.
First of all, the low-flying aeroplanes are utterly distractive because they make a big noise. This is a significant issue as a major part of our population comprises young school children. In addition, the noise of midnight flights always even affect sleep. If the number of flights increases, it will generate more noise pollution.
Secondly, the nearby farmland will be expropriated for development due to the airport needing land to be expanded. This will reduce residents’ income and lose their jobs. I would like to plea to the president an obstruction on this plan because an expansion of the airport will aggravate the problems in our community. I would appreciate it if you could write the article about the problems and disagreement as I said above.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours Faithfully,
Chris Wong
