Dear Sudheer,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of spirits. I am writing this letter to inform you about the procrastination of my Canada trip.
The reason behind this postponement is that my maternal grandfather has passed away recently and because of the same reason I have been to my native place. Moreover, I have to be here for more than two weeks. As I am the only grandson, I have a plethora of responsibilities such as receiving guests, maintaining the home, and doing running errands.
I can assume that this news would make you sorrowful as you were near and dear to him, things are the same for me here as well. After reading this letter, I hope you can understand my situation and accept my apologies for this delay.
Cremations and all the rituals will be completed in a couple of weeks, therefore, please arrange accommodation after the 1st week of July. I have already booked my flight.
It would be wonderful to see you after so long and I really wanted to meet you as much as you do. Can’t wait to see you.
With best regards,
Rakesh
