You have eaten at a restaurant and it was such a terrible experience that you have decided to inform the manager by letter of what happened, and that you want your money back. Things to include:
– Facts. You need to be concise but explain what happened.
– Polite. No one responds to insults.
– Outline what you wish from this. What do you want to happen?
– Firmness. You want to be taken seriously.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Daisy Johnson, one of your frequent customers and I am writing to express my dissatisfaction about my unacceptable experience in the restaurant called Yum Cha located in Kowloon Shangari-la Hotel.
I had a Chinese style dinner with my family on this Monday 10th Sep 2018 7pm and we ordered a set dinner for 6 including one appetizer, six main dishes and one dessert. Unexpectedly, the dishes arrived in a very inefficient manner. The dishes were delivered 45 minutes after the order confirmation. Worse still, the dishes were totally not hot, which seemed to be put aside for an extended time before serving to us.
We did asked for follow-up of our orders for a few times; however, the waiters did not take our request into action. Our neglected enquiries and the cooled down dishes make me feel that you do not care about the customer experience.
I therefore would like to request for a full refund of the amount paid. I would also like to suggest a review of your staff training. I attached the receipt of the dinner and my bank account information here. A swift response and action is expected.
Yours faithfully,
Daisy Johnson
