You have just read an article in an inernational travel magazie which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.
Write a letter to the editor of magazie. IN your letter
- Correct the information in the article
- Explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
- Suggest what the magazine should do about this situation
Dear Sir,
Recently, I have read an article in your travel magazine “Lonely Planet” – August 2019 edition, covering travel to remote destinations in india. Since, I am a native of the town mentioned in the article, I realized some facts were misstated and wanted to draw your attention to the incorrect data.
it is mentioned in the article that Nandyal, a remote town in Andhra Pradesh in india, is only connected by road. this is factually incorrect, Nandyal has a train junction administered by Southern Central railways and has active commuters using train regularly. it is imperative for your magazine to provide accurate travel mode for international diaspora of the region to consider bringing back their families and children to visit, who may otherwise avoid to visit due to cumbersome travel experiences via gravel roads. Nandyal is well-connected with roadways and railways offering several options on timings.
I would request the editing team to correct this mistake and republish this article in September 2019 edition.
Your sincerely,
Rita Ampte
