To the admissions officer,
I am Chitra who recently applied to your university on 16th February 2018. I was little disappointed on receiving the admission letter today as it had mentioned that we need a minimum band score of 6.5 in IELTS whereas my current score is Band 6. As you may be aware, Band 6 was the minimum requirement for Masters in Business Administration in Economics and Finance in Harvard University till last year.
With regards to my academic performance, my average percentage in formal examinations are 8 which is equivalent to Grade A in all the universities across Europe. Hence, I am on-par with other students who are academically proficient. On the other hand, I request your suggestions on the other ways to obtain admission to your institution. Perhaps, I can score Band 6.5 if I re-attempt the IELTS examination. But admissions would be complete for this academic year by then.
I am even ready to take up any other entrance examinations that would validate my skills on communication, aptitude and logical abilities. Looking forward for your positive response as pursuing my post-graduation in your university is one of my dreams since childhood.
Yours sincerely,
Chitra
