Dear Mr. and Mrs. John,
Recently I came across your commercial posted in the Australian magazine for a nanny. Hence, I am writing this letter to apply for the job.
A few weeks ago, I successfully completed my previous contract as a babysitter for Mr. and Mrs. Fernandez who live about 2 blocks from your residence. I have always loved being surrounded by toddlers as all my past experience is with a similar age group, thus I was excited to apply for your advertisement.
I have lived in the city of Melbourne for the past eight years and have been a nanny for over seven years having have looked after three different toddlers during my work experience. In 2012, I completed my bachelor’s degree in child psychology and perused child care ever since.
As I find my work very interesting, I usually spend a few after-work hours with the child under my care by visiting a garden or sometimes taking a walk with them. During the weekends, to do my grocery shopping and prepare myself for next week by reading a few books on child care. I enjoy my job and I look forward to discussing more on my application as I hope to hear from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Adlen DSouza
