You live in an English speaking country and you want to do some voluntary, unpaid work in a developing country. Write a letter to a company called Cultural Expeditions, which organizes such trips. In your letter:
• Explain why you want to do the voluntary work.
• State what your skills and experience are.
• Indicate where you would like to volunteer and for how long.
Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my interest in one of the voluntary work which your company, cultural expeditions is carrying out in the developing countries. Please allow me to explain you the reason.
To begin with, I have a curiosity to get myself involved in the betterment of single women. Not only doing task for our society but also want to make women’s life better in in other country. As it is well said that the charity begins at home. On top of it, I have a realization that the developing country needs to understand the women empowerment.
Moreover, it’s being 10 years I have been working with non-profitable organization as a part timer. Also, my profile is into HR management, where I come across plethora of queries related to women strengthening expertise, so I know how to resolve them effectively.
As I am a social worker so I have friends across countries and few of my friends told me the condition of women in Pakistan is not really upto the mark. Besides, I have enquired about it from other agencies as well. I am willing to volunteer myself there for 3 months so that I can talk to different women and can bring happiness and confidence in their lifestyle.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
Urvashi
