Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to register my dissatisfaction with the way my belongings were handled by one of your company driver in the process of moving house. I engaged the service of your haulage service company on the 22nd of July, 2019 to help convey my belongings from Jos to Lagos State due to my recent change of job and location. I personally supervised the packing and loading on the eve of our departure and we commenced our journey to the city of Lagos smoothly. However,along the highway,the driver had a stopover in other to eat but on resuming the journey,he decided to speed up to cover the time lost.
In the process of increasing the vehicle's speed despite series of warnings from me and to my dismay,some of my belongings fell off the truck leading to their damage. Among the damaged items is my Thermocool twin tub washing machine presented to me on my wedding day ,my big refrigerator was not left out alongside my newly purchased oven,set of pots,family pictures,vital documents, crates of minerals while three big set of travelling bags containing clothes,jeweleries and phones also got missing when the truck rear door was left opened until we were notified by passing commuters.
To make matter worse,the driver did not feel remorseful but rather abused and used derogatory words on me not minding loosing and damaging some of my household goods running into millions of naira. He did not made any move to look for the missing bags despite several pleas from me and my cousin who was with me all through the journey. I am afraid that this incident will definitely affect me negatively in the course of settling down in my new place of abode as there will be need for me replace the items which I've been informed were damaged beyond repairs.
It is on this note that I request that the driver,Mr Oyetola be made to face the company disciplinary action and be compel to write a letter of apology to me. In furtherance to this, I would like that the damaged items be replaced within the period of ten working days or the company should compensate me monetarily for the loss suffered.
