You recently read an article in a newspaper about your childhood friend with whom you have lost contact for a long time.
Write a letter to the editor. In your letter:
Say which edition and when did the article appear
Explain why you lost contact with your friend
Say how you want them to help you to get back in touch
Dear Chief Editor,
I'm writing to you to enquire about a person whose article did appear in your editorial page yesterday and I hope
you can help me out.
I read Toronto times regularly and I just stumbled upon an article about Global Warming while I was
reading about the "Terrace Garden" in your Go Green special edition. The article was written by Harry Spencer who was my childhood Friend.
Harry and I met in Midland Highschool and we studied together from grade 5 to 10. We were good friends and we did our school projects and
science exhibitions together.
Harry left Toronto for Paris along with his mother back in 2010, since his Parents separated after a divorce and we lost our touch. However, I have been
trying to find out the whereabouts of Harry for quite sometime through Facebook and Instagram, but there was no luck. Now, thankfully I found him through
Toronto times. I'm sure you must be having the contact details of all writers who contributes to the editorial page. Kindly contact Harry on my behalf and
inform him that I had inquired about him and with his consent, please share his contact details with me.
My contact details, a short introduction about me and childhood picture are enclosed in this letter for your reference. Looking forward to reading your
positive reply.
Your's Sincerely,
Anna
