You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or to try to get a job. You think he / she should get a job.
Write a letter to this friend. In your letter
1. say why he / she would not enjoy going to college
2. explain why getting a job is a good idea for him / her
3. suggest types of jobs that would be suitable for him / her
Dear Mark,
How have you been? it has been a long time since we last met. I have received your letter asking for advice on whether to go to a college or to get a job. In my opinion I would suggest you to get a job. Let me explain the reasons in detail.
To elucidate as you have recently completed your tertiary education thus going into the same environment would make your life monotonous thus affecting your studies. Although getting a master degree is beneficial but not at this stage. Hence I would suggest getting a job which will help you to gain some industry experience and improve your financial condition so that you can support your higher studies without putting a further financial burden on your guardians. Additionally, I would like to highlight that there is an increasing trend that after completing the tertiary education students tend to gain some industry experience as it gives them additional weightage and preference when they apply for higher studies in reputed universities.
Lastly, I would suggest since you completed your degree in computer science, therefore, I would suggest pursuing software testing or software development jobs.
I look forward to your response and hope you make the right decision.
Warm wishes
