Dear Sam
It was great reading from you after such a long time. I am glad that you have asked for some advice on your future course of action.
time flies quickly indeed. It doesn't seem a long ago when we were in the primary shool and now we have finished high school already. I remember you once said that you were worried about how your family would manage to pay the tuition of your younger brother, who is in grade 11 in a much expensive school, after your dad took a retirement last year. I think this can make you stressful even more if you decide to go to the college where you will be expected to pay more than your school tuition. Enrolling for a course but not being able to concentrate on your studies can really make you feel depressed and so you should rather think about taking a gap year. Meanwhile doing a job for a year you can collect enough money to support yor brother and pay your college fees by the time your brother is out of the school. He can also do the same later - break a year or two and then go to a college. Many students do this because carrying on studies ever so long make them feel bored and monotonous. also, in your case this will ideally give you a much-needed opportunity to meet family commitments.
Jobs in the hospitality sector are quite popular these days. I know a HR manager of a hotel in Pokhara, if you wish I can recommend you for a role in the reception. I think your English skills will give you an edge working in this international hotel where great number of foreigners visit each year.
Let me know if you like my suggestion.
Take care.
Yours,
Ram
