You saw a brochure for a one-week walking tour in the mountains. You're very
interested in taking part, but you're not very fit and are worried you wouldn't
be able to keep up. Write to the tour operator. In your letter:
• Explain why you're interested in the tour.
• Ask for information about dates and prices.
• Express your concerns about your fitness level.
You do not need to write any addresses. Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I saw your brochure for a one-week walking tour in the mountains at my friend’s place. I got so
excited when I view it because I’ve never been on such a tour and I would love to go one. I have
always wanted to go on a trek but due to some reason or the other I was never able to go on one.
I request you to share the dates and prices of the tours. In addition to that, please share the number
of people going on the trip. Are there any other activities that we are going to do on this tour? I’ve
heard that on such trips, we have to wear shoes specially made for walking purpose. If that is so,
please let me know so that I can buy it before the trip.
I would like to discuss one of my biggest fear with you. Since childhood, I’ve never been a fit kid and
till date, I’m underweight and lose my stamina quickly. I’m worried if I’ll be able to keep up with the
others and will be able to complete the tour or not. Is there anything that I should do before the
tour?
I look forward to your swift attention.
Yours faithfully,
John
