You want to apply to a private college seeking admission for a bachelor degree. You are experiencing financial problems at the moment and can not get admitted to the college without some help.
Write a letter to the Principal of the college explaining your situation and ask for information on scholarships or other means of financial help available.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Pushpak Yadav, I have recently completed my high school with 89% and looking forward to study in your college. However, my financial condition is not allowing me to pay your college’s fee without any financial aid. Since my father, who is the only earning hand of my family, recently got laid off due to global pandemic amid covid-19. Moreover, being from a lower-middle class family we also don’t have any savings to bear my education expenses.
I will be very obliged if you guide me through and let me know if there is any tuition fee concession or scholarship provided by your institute or by government to help underprivileged students for supporting their education. I recently came across some government approved schemes but not sure if they are applicable to private institutes as well or not. Also, it will be great help if you guide me with the procedures and criteria for applying to any such facility.
Thank you for your time and consideration in advance.
Yours Faithfully,
Pushpak Yadav
