Your car is hired from a company and while you were driving on holiday, you had a small accident. You will have to write a report to the company to explain it.
You need to explain the following:
• when and where you hired it
• describe how the accident happened
• what kind of action did you take after the accident
Dear Sir,
My name is Truong Nguyen. I am a customer at your car renting service. As you have known, I had an accident during my trip to Vung Tau driving one of your vehicles and the car’s license plate was 51-12345P. Therefore, I am writing this letter to give you full details about the accident.
I had signed the contract for renting the car from Monday to Wednesday and picked up at 22pm Sunday. On the way to Vung Tau, there was an unexpected accident on ABC Street. After turning left from the highway, there was a woman riding a motorbike crossing the street without looking for traffic. At that moment, I was driving at around 60 kilometers per hour and immediately hit the brakes. However, the car still drifted and I could not gain control over it. After the accident, I had already taken the woman to the nearest hospital for treatment. My family and I had agreed to pay for the medicine fees.
For the car’s damages, I suggest that you take a full assessment by the manufacturer’s staffs. I am willing to pay up to half of the repairing fee since I was not intended to commit the accident and was completely sober at the time it happened.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
Truong Nguyen
