Your child is going on a three day school trip to another country. The head teacher wants to find parents to go with the group and you would like to go.
Write a letter to the headteacher. In your letter:
Say why you would like to go on the trip
Suggest what you could do to help during the trip
Ask other questions about the trip
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my interest in accompanying the group of students for their excursion trip to India.
When I came to know that the school is looking for some parents who can join the children on the trip, I was happy. As, my son, Aarav, is ecstatic about the outing but reluctant to go alone. So, I would love to come along with him and other students.
I want to tell you that I am also a primary teacher and have hands-on experience with little ones. I can support other staff members in engaging children in different play activities. Moreover, I have good command over the native Indian language which would be helpful while communicating with the locals during sightseeing and for making travel arrangements.
However, I have a few queries about the trip. I was wondering whether parents have to arrange their own accommodation or school is taking care of it. Also, if it is possible, can you give me the headcount of people coming on this trip? As I am planning to make some snacks for everyone.
I look forward to receiving your response.
Yours sincerely,
Manisha
