Dear Sam,
Hope you are doing good, you would have missed my presence during your farewell party.I am writing this letter to inform that due to some unavoidable situation I was unavailable to attend the party moments.
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you for the new role. As I had to attend my IELTS speaking exam on the same day when you have organised the farewell, I was unable to come for your event.Really had a second taught that should I change exam dates and attend the party or I should not, but I did not have an option, as once the date is fixed we do not have an option to change it or to postpone.
Secondly, would like to tell this you those days we worked together was memorable and scintillating. Your hard work and dedication towards the work was amazing, organisation members always saw you as an precious asset for the organisation and you have inspired many people on the work floor.
It is my humble request for you to forgive me for the mistakes I have done in the past and please arrange a meeting soon in the upcoming weekends and ping me during your free time.
