Your English-speaking friend, Clare, has recently gone to live in another city. Read part of her email below:
Well, I've now been here for two weeks and I'm beginning to get used to my new life here. I've certainly been very busy since I moved here- there have been all sorts of things happening! I'm quite happy in my new home although lots of my belongings are still in bags and boxes! I'm hoping to find time to unpack everything soon.
I'm glad I decided to come and live here- it's a really good city. But there are some things and people that I miss of course! It would be really good if you could come and stay with me here, perhaps in a couple of months when I really settle down. What
do you think? Keep in touch.
Clare
Write a reply to Clare. In your email you have to ask her what is happening to her, tell her to describe her new home, ask her to tell you what and who she misses after she moves there and suggest the time when you can visit her.
You should write at least 120 words.
Dear Clare,
How’s it going? I hope you are well. It’s such a long time since we last spoke. It’s great to receive your last letter. I’m really sorry not replying you sooner, but I have been so busy trying my best to complete my science project for my university graduation.
I have heard that you have some issues with your new place. What happen to you in your new house? Is it serious? Don’t be shy to share with me anything you are worried about as we are best friends. Actually, I haven’t been to that city before. Could you describe what this city has? Does it have many entertainment center for children, or breathtaking views like in my hometown?
It’s the first time you’ve gone to this place, so you must miss someone right? Who are they? Maybe I can tell them to get in touch with you more and give you some good advices to be familiar with the new home.
Lastly, I want to inform you that I intend to spend my whole summer vacation catching up with you. Be patient until I visit you.
Well, that’s all for now. I have to get on with my study now. Give my love to you and your parents. When you have a moment, drop me a line and tell me when you have spare time to show me around this metropolis city. See you soon.
Best,
Trung
