Your local council is considering closing a sports & leisure centre that it runs, in order to save money.
Write a letter to the local council. In your letter
• Give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre
• Explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community
• Describe the possible effects on local people if the centre is closes
Dear Sir,
I am really disappointed by the news, that the local council is considering sports and leisure centre in order to save money.
As you are know that this is the only sports & leisure centre with in this locality and majority of the community uses this centre for recreational activities as the club is equipped with all the modern facilities like swimming pool, gymnasium, indoor games like table tennis, squash, lawn tennis. All these ammenties are being used by my family and friends to stay fit and healthy. this club also has a ampitheatre which is used for playing movies on the weekend, apart from this centre is also used a place for many social gatherings.
The club plays an important role specially for the older generation who come in the sports and leisure centre to excercise and it helps to stay healthy.
Hence, closure of this centre will have a huge impact on us,as we will no longer be able to do recreational activities and stay healthy.
Yours sincerely
vinshu
