Your local newspaper is offering an award for people who have helped the community. Write a letter to the newspaper editor. In your letter
suggest someone you think should receive the award
describe what the person does to help the community
suggest an award that would be appropriate for this person
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter in regards to the offer of an award for people who have been involved in helping needy and poor individuals. It will be conducted by your newspaper next week followed by an annoucement on next program. I would like to recommend and nominate a social worker, Sushil Kumar, who has been helping people for quite a long time. I believe that he should be presented with a reward for his hard work and good deeds.
Being a kind and responsible person towards society, Sushil has helped many poor people by providing them better job opportunities. Apart from this, he voluteerly educates poor children on weekends, so that they can get a better life style in future. He is a great public speaker who has been fighting for gender equality for a while. Moreover, he is always supported by public all over the country for his tremendous work which he had done for the community.
I would like to suggest you to consider his name for the award distribution program on behalf of me and my society members. This would motivate him for doing this amazing social work. I believe the award of 'responsible man of the community' would be perfect for him. Moreover, it would be great if you can publish an article about his achievements in the area of improving poverty
I am eagerly waiting for your response.
Yours sincerely,
John
